With ILoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday” up for a Grammy Award this weekend, the rising singer-rapper stopped by Snoop Dogg’s “GGN” show to chat about his breakout hit. The Atlanta-based artist also discussed growing up in Los Angeles, how “Tuesday” came about, what it’s like working with Drake and more.

The one-and-only DJ Premier was featured on Snoop Dogg’s YouTube show “GGN” this week. The two legends chopped it up about all-things music, including their reverence for classic artists such as James Brown, Marley Marl, and KRS-One. Premo also spoke on the current state of hip-hop and discussed his upcoming projects with Miguel, Royce da 5’9″ and Adrian Younge.

Snoop Dogg Calls DJ Mustard and YG the ‘New Pioneers’ of West Coast Hip-Hop


 
DJ Mustard stopped by Snoop Dogg’s show GGN earlier this week to discuss his career and new album, 10 Summers. During the interview, Snoop praised the 24-year-old producer and his frequent collaborator YG.
 

“Y’all the new pioneers of the generation of hip-hop right now for the West Coast, you and YG . . . That’s y’all sound. It’s dope. I love it. I love it, I hear your name on everybody record and how everybody from R&B to hip-hop is getting at you.”

 
Snoop and Mustard also brainstormed the idea of doing a joint album called Hot Dogg Wit Mustard. We don’t know how serious they were but the concept definitely sounds dope.
