TJR has dropped an unreleased demo of a hard house track called “Feel My Bass.” The song, which has a BPM of 150, samples Hocus Pocus’ 1992 single, “Bow Chi Bow.”

“I started this demo last year but never finished it,” TJR wrote on Instagram. “[It] Only has 1 drop but who plays 2 drops anymore in edm, so I decided to give away for free.”

TJR discussed his approach to DJing in a recent interview with SFX-owned event production company Disco Donnie.

“I don’t play with a planned set,” the Connecticut native said. “I do have some areas in my sets [that are routines] so I kinda know ahead of time in those little areas. But it’s about simplifying.”

TJR also talked about which equipment he uses and how he uses it.

“I like to try and use as much of the technology as possible, and a lot of that just comes from learning on vinyl,” he said. “That’s why I don’t use a computer. I just try and use what’s available on the CDJ [and] what’s available on the mixer.”

In 2012, Pitbull and TJR teamed up for the bounced-influenced hit, “Don’t Stop the Party.” The single went double platinum in the US and peaked at number 17 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Today, TJR has returned with an official remix of Pit’s funky new single, “Greenlight,” featuring Flo Rida and LunchMoney Lewis. The new version marks a change in TJR’s direction, as the production style is more future house than bounce. The result, however, is just as potent.
