How to Redrum With Roland’s DJ-808
On this episode of DJcityTV and Beat Refinery’s Turntable Techniques, Trayze explains how to do live redrums with Roland’s DJ-808 controller using its TR-S drum machine and sounds. The technique can be used to beef up sections of tracks that don’t have drums (e.g.: the breakdown).

Review: Reloop RMX-90 DVS Mixer for Serato DJ
For years, the only Serato DJ-enabled devices that Reloop offered were controllers. Then, in January, the German company unveiled the RMX-90 DVS, a four-channel mixer with native support for Serato DJ. In addition to the DVS integration, the RMX-90 also comes with onboard effects.

Reloop Introduces RMX-90 DVS Mixer
Reloop has announced the RMX-90 DVS, a new four-channel club mixer designed for Serato DJ. It is the company’s first mixer designed to support the software’s full DVS capabilities.

– 8 in/8 out DVS audio interface, 24-bit for Serato DJ
– Serato DJ with DVS expansion pack
– Digital architecture with extensive adjustment possibilities
– Beat FX unit with 12 effects in studio quality
– Two digital displays for visualization of parameter changes
The RMX-90 DVS will be available in March with a suggested retail price of $1,069.98.

Chris Karns Performs With Reloop’s Mixon 4
