Watch MØ’s ‘Kamikaze’ Video


 
Danish singer MØ premiered her Diplo-produced single “Kamikaze” two weeks ago, and today she is back with visuals to go along with it.
 
The action-packed video, which was shot in Kiev, Ukraine, shows the singer dancing on cars, driving down streets, and partying in an abandoned lot.
 
“‘Kamikaze’ is a happy party song, but at the same time also about being lost and restless,” MØ said in a press release. “What I really like about this video is that it embraces both those aspects: the party vibe — the friendships and the happiness — but also the darkness, the craziness and the doom. And it’s not just the song that has that duality, it’s very much who I am.”

MØ Returns With Diplo-Produced Single ‘Kamikaze’

MØ, the Danish singer behind Major Lazer and DJ Snake’s “Lean On,” has followed up the worldwide smash with a single of her own, “Kamikaze.”
 
The 79 BPM song, which was produced by none other than Diplo, features MØ’s distinctive vocals over a Middle Eastern-flavored instrumental.
 
Although its popularity is unlikely to match that of “Lean On,” “Kamikaze” is a solid effort with the potential be MØ’s breakout solo single in the US.

Major Lazer & MO Perform ‘Lean On’ on ‘Jimmy Fallon’

 
Major Lazer and rising singer MO performed their hit single “Lean On” on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” last night.
 
Though summer has only just begun, the DJ Snake-assisted track is likely to be one of the hottest of the season. It’s currently number one on Shazam and number 17 and climbing on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Major Lazer & DJ Snake Drop ‘Lean On’ Video Featuring MØ


 
Major Lazer and DJ Snake have dropped a music video for their new single, “Lean On.” The moombahton-influenced track features Danish singer MØ (from Iggy Azalea’s “Beg For It”) and has been in DJcity’s “Hot Box” chart for over two weeks. It’s also currently the sixth most-Shazamed dance song in the world.
 
Here’s what Diplo said about India, which is where the video was filmed:
 
“India is special and its beauty absolutely humbled me. When we toured there as Major Lazer, it was mind blowing to see our fan-base and we wanted to incorporate the attitude and positive vibes into our video and just do something that embodies the essence of Major Lazer. Major Lazer has always been a culture mashup and to us, India feels like some kind of special creature with one foot in history and one firmly in the future. The experience is something we’ll never forget.”

Major Lazer and DJ Snake Drop New Track, ‘Lean On’


 
Diplo has been very busy lately. From producing a large chunk of Madonna’s upcoming album to releasing his project with Skrillex, the super producer has now dropped a new track with his Major Lazer group. “Lean On” marks the project’s first collaboration with Parisian bassmaster DJ Snake and features the vocals of Danish singer MØ (from Iggy Azalea’s “Beg For It”). While Major Lazer is best known for delivering high-energy tracks, “Lean On” is slightly more subdued and features a moombahton beat.
