MistaJam Announces Show on Pitbull’s SiriusXM Channel

BBC 1Xtra’s MistaJam has announced UK Connect, a new weekly radio show on Pitbull‘s SiriusXM channel, Globalization. The show debuts this weekend and will air Saturdays from 8-10pm ET and Sundays from 10am-Noon ET.
 
MistaJam told us: “[It is] an absolute honor to be joining the line up of Sirius XM’s strongest station alongside some legendary US DJs. UK Connect will make sure that Globalization will have those UK born international hits first, leaving other stations to catch up!”
 
Globalization was launched in May 2015. It features shows hosted by DJs such as Yonnie and Big Syphe, along with DJcity’s Santarosa, Latin Prince, Playboy, Kidd Spin, and Danny West.

Craig David Reveals Ambitious Plans for New Album

Comebacks are rare for veteran rap and R&B artists, but England’s Craig David is set to beat the odds. Following his viral performance on BBC 1Xtra in September, the R&B singer recently revealed to Complex UK that a new album is in the works.
 
According to David, Following My Intuition will feature collaborations with forward-thinking artists like Diplo, Kaytranada, GoldLink, and Chase & Status. The project will be released on MistaJam’s Speakerbox label, which David and his own label JEM Artists recently signed with.
 
Considering the attention that David’s BBC performance received and the artists he’s working with, the longtime singer has a good chance of making the comeback he deserves.

Craig David Releases Official Version of ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘Where Are U Now’ Blend

R&B legend Craig David has released an official version of his “Fill Me In” and “Where Are U Now” blend exclusively through DJcity.
 
The British singer made headlines last week after he sang the 2000 classic over the instrumental of Jack U’s hit during Kurupt FM’s takeover on BBC Radio 1Xtra. A video clip of him singing the blend was shared by Diplo, Justin Bieber, Scooter Braun, and numerous blogs.

Listen to MistaJam’s Set at Ibiza’s Cafe Mambo

BBC Radio 1 celebrated 20 years of throwing parties in Ibiza last weekend. The star-studded event, which was attended by DJcity’s DJ Phenom, featured sets from superstars Calvin Harris and Disclosure and Radio 1 personalities Pete Tong, Annie Mac, and MistaJam.
 
Thankfully, we got our hands on a live recording of MistaJam’s performance at Cafe Mambo, which featured an hour of new and classic house. It was one of the best sets that Phenom saw during the weekend and we’re excited to share it with you.
