Dutch DJ/producer Kevin D has dropped a moombahton-tinged remix of P. Diddy‘s 2002 R&B hit “I Need A Girl, Pt 2.” It is available exclusively on DJcity.

Produced by Diddy and Mario Winans, “I Need A Girl, Pt. 2” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track featured guest vocals from Winans, Ginuwine, Loon, and Tammi Ruggeri.

Kevin D’s remix chops up the melody of the original track and lays the vocal hook on top of bouncy drums. It follows his upbeat moombahton flip of Macklemore‘s 2011 hit “Can’t Hold Us.”

Rising Dutch DJ/producer Kevin D has kicked off the new year with a high-energy, moombahton remix of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ 2011 smash “Can’t Hold Us.”

The original version reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart two years after its release, becoming Spotify’s most streamed song of 2013. It has since gone six-times platinum.

Kevin D had a big 2018. Six of his remixes appeared on DJcity’s monthly Top 50 chart. Most notably, his rework of Don Omar‘s “Danza Kuduro” was one of DJcity’s most downloaded remixes of the year. And the Dutchman is off to a good start this year: his flip of Chris Brown‘s “Undecided” is currently No. 15 on DJcity.

After hitting No. 3 on DJcity with his “Still D.R.E.” remix, Netherlands DJ/producer Kevin D has returned with a rework of Don Omar and Lucenzo‘s reggaeton anthem, “Danza Kuduro.” This time, Kevin has joined forces with Netherlands duo Sven & Rolf.

Released in 2010, “Danza Kuduro” hit No. 1 in a handful of countries and peaked at No. 82 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, a notable achievement at the time for a non-English-language track. With its infectious rhythm and catchy hook, the original version of “Danza Kuduro” remains a staple in DJ sets.

Kevin and Sven & Rolf’s rework is subtle yet effective. It maintains all of the track’s original sounds, though chopped and rearranged.
