In January, DJ Carlo Atendido launched a series on DJcityTV called DJ Life, offering a glimpse into his life as a traveling DJ. The first episode finds the two-time Red Bull 3Style Philippines champion running into trouble as he attempts to perform at a show where there’s no equipment.
Now, it’s smooth sailing for Carlo. On the second installment of the series, he heads to Iloilo City in the Philippines to DJ at the Dinagyang Festival. Carlo is greeted by dancers at the airport, holds a meet and greet with fans, and then rocks a set at the festival.
DJ Carlo Atendido, a two-time Red Bull 3Style Philippines champion, has launched a series on DJcityTV called DJ Life. The series offers a glimpse into Carlo’s life as a traveling DJ.
Based in Manila, Carlo burst onto the scene in 2014 when he took third place at the Red Bull 3Style world finals in Azerbaijan. Only Ireland’s DJ Flip and champion Eskei83 finished ahead of him. He has since taken his world-class DJ skills around the globe, which he vlogs about on his YouTube channel.
In the first episode, Carlo heads to the city of Bacolod in the Philippines for a gig he had booked over a year ago. Understandably, he forgets what the gig entails and travels to the show not knowing what to expect. Carlo documents the humorous lead-up to his set, including an attempt to perform a soundcheck where there is no equipment for him to use.

Atendido’s last stop of the day was at the Beat Junkie Institute of Sound in Glendale. He sat down with D-Styles, his DJ idol and one of the school’s founders, for a quick chat.
