Tropkillaz and Major Lazer have shared the video for their dancehall-influenced baile funk single, “Loko.” Released in May, the summer-friendly track features rising Brazilian artist MC Kevinho and Jamaica’s Busy Signal.

The colorful video finds Tropkillaz DJing a fun-filled dance party. Kevinho, Signal, and Major Lazer members Diplo, Walshy Fire, and Jillionaire all show off their moves alongside a group of dancers.

In a March interview with DJcity, Tropkillaz told us that “Loko” is set to appear on their forthcoming album. The lead single off the project,”Milk & Honey” featuring Aloe Blacc, was the No. 16 most-downloaded track of March on DJcity.

Major Lazer

Major Lazer has dropped a humorous video for their Busy Signal-assisted club heater, “Jump.” The trio previously collaborated with the Jamaican dancehall artist on the hit single “Watch Out for This (Bumaye)” in 2013.

Though it currently has over four million Spotify streams, “Jump” is one of the lesser known tracks off Major Lazer’s Know No Better EP. So far, the project’s most successful tracks have been the title track and “Sua Cara.”

In 2014, rising DJ/producer Ape Drums began playing a track in his sets that features Major Lazer and Jamaican dancehall singer Busy Signal. The song, which is referred to as “Bookshelf,” contains a sample of the classic dancehall riddim of the same name. While an unofficial version of Ape’s track has been floating around the web for over a year, Diplo has just sent DJcity a new version called “The Way We Do This.”

Though it resembles the original, “The Way We Do This” features a new drop and additional vocals from Busy Signal. It comes at a great time, when dancehall is making a comeback in the US and the world at large.

Diplo also sent us another Ape Drums song titled “Go Crazy” featuring New Jersey rapper Dougie F. Stream both tracks below and if you’re a DJcity subscriber, grab them here.
