Listen to MixMason and KidCutUp’s Mixes for Dash Radio’s New ‘Heatrock Radio’ Show

Los Angeles DJ/producer MixMason and DJcity’s KidCutUp have each dropped mixes for the debut episode of Heatrock Radio, a new mixshow on Dash Radio‘s Discover channel.

The show is hosted by MixMason and aims to bridge the gap between hip-hop and underground dance and electronic music. It will feature new mixes from Mason and guest DJs every month.

Lil Jon‘s single “Bad B#tches” with Kronic and Onderkoffer is currently no. seven on DJcity, but that hasn’t stopped him from dropping another track. With the help of singers Yandel and Becky G, the King of Crunk has served up a reggaeton-tinged heater called “Take It Off.”

SoundSwitch for Serato DJ Is Now Available

SoundSwitch, a new software and hardware package that provides an interface between Serato DJ and lighting systems, is now available.

SoundSwitch enables DJs to attach lighting cues and effects to audio files, which are automatically triggered when the music is played through Serato DJ.

​”DJs can now easily consider the impact lighting can have on their live performance and in turn the experience of their crowd,” SoundSwitch CEO Zak Meyers said in a press release. “We are looking forward to seeing how DJs approach SoundSwitch and what affect [sic] it has in the performance space.”

The hardware and software package can be purchased via SoundSwitch’s website for $499 USD​. Those who buy the bundle will gain access to the software immediately, but the hardware won’t arrive until August.
