Watch: Kenny Dope’s Set at PLAYLIST Retreat

One of the highlights of DJ Jazzy Jeff’s PLAYLIST Retreat was a series of performances from renowned DJs and producers. This included a set from legendary DJ/producer Kenny Dope, who dropped an all-45 set of classic funk.

Kenny Dope rose to prominence as one-half of the house production duo Masters At Work, alongside Little Louie Vega. The New York native later achieved solo success under his alias The Bucketheads. Over the years, Dope’s work has earned him four Grammy nominations.

Major Lazer Throwbacks and Unreleased Instrumentals Now Available on DJcity

Major Lazer has consistently dropped anthems over the years, changing pop music along the way. To celebrate their impressive career, the group has asked DJcity to make available a number of their throwbacks and unreleased instrumentals, along with a new track called “Blow That Smoke” featuring Tove Lo.

All of the tracks, except for the instrumentals, appear on the trio’s new Major Lazer Essentials compilation. The last four tracks on the album are from the group’s recent Afrobeats Mix.

Watch Lil Wayne’s ‘Uproar’ Video

Lil Wayne has shared the video for his Swizz Beatz-produced hit single, “Uproar.” The track, which peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot 100, has close to 30 million streams on Spotify.

The visual shows various people taking part in Wayne’s #UproarChallenge dance. It features cameos from Swizz himself as well as comedian Shiggy, the creator of the viral dance.

“Uproar” is the lead single from Wayne’s twelfth studio album, Tha Carter V. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in September.
