Lupe Fiasco Releases US World Cup Anthem

Lupe Fiasco
A new track by Lupe Fiasco titled “Stellar Light” has been released as the US team’s official rallying anthem for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The full-length version will be available in the coming weeks.
 
The Chicago-based rapper was named music director of the US soccer team last month.

Dozens Hospitalized After Avicii Concert in Boston

Dozens of people were taken to the hospital from an Avicii show at TD Garden Wednesday night for problems with “drinking, drug use, and heat in the arena,” reports local news station CBS Boston.
 
Boston EMS told the station that 36 young men and women were taken to local hospitals and another 50 people were treated inside the venue. Their Deputy Superintendent said that none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Ed Sheeran Covers Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Paranoid’


 
English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeranis a fan of hip-hop.
 
The red-headed crooner first came across our radar when he was featured on Lupe Fiasco’s “Old School Love” back in 2013. Then, last month, rapper Game confirmed that he’s working on a joint album with Sheeran and have already recorded seven songs.
 
Now, a video has surfaced of Sheeran covering Ty Dolla $ign’s club hit, “Paranoid.” The Irish-style remake retains the original melody but updates the lyrics a little bit.
 
Sheeran’s Pharrell-produced single “Sing” was the 14th most-downloaded track on DJcity in April and is currently #16 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
