Listen to Big Once’s DJcity Podcast Mix
Big Once, the 2011 Red Bull 3Style US champion, has thrown down a unique mix for the DJcity podcast. The Chicago native’s 32-minute set contains drum and bass, house, hip-hop, and more. Also included are four of his own productions.
Big Once tells DJcity:
“My entire career I’ve been known as a dude who takes chances and does things a little differently. I’ve never fit into the mainstream club/top 40 box, but all my DJ heroes didn’t either. Individuality used to be what set us apart as performers, but sadly I think a lot of that individuality is lost in today’s DJ world. My goal with this mix was to do something different: highlight some dope records on DJcity that you probably missed, flip stuff you do know into something new, and introduce the DJcity community to some of the weird sh#t that I like. There’s so much dope music out there. Hopefully, this mix inspires listeners to dig a little deeper. Enjoy!”
