Jay Z – Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film [Trailer]
Earlier this month, Jay Z made headlines when he performed “Picasso Baby” from Magna Carta Holy Grail for six hours straight at New York City’s Pace Gallery. The impressive feat was captured on film and HBO is releasing a mini-documentary about it tomorrow, August 2 at 11pm EST.
“Rap is thinking out loud, and you’re putting your fears and your vulnerabilities and your insecurities to music,” Jay Z says in the trailer. “Concerts are pretty much performance art, and a smaller venue is a bit more intimate, so you feel the energy of the people.”
