Denon DJ Adds Streaming And More To Prime Series Hardware With 1.4 Update

Today, Denon DJ released the new 1.4 firmware update for their Prime Series family of hardware. This version finalizes some features which have been teased or in beta for some time, and also brings a few unseen features to the table. Highlights include:

Tidal Integration Via Wi-Fi And Wired Connections
Users can now stream music directly to Prime Series hardware from the first of Denon DJ’s streaming partners, Tidal.

Track Preview From Library
On the SC5000 and SC5000M players, users now have the ability to preview a track directly from the library display, without having to load the track.

New Zoneplay Feature For The Zone Output
Prime 4 users will find a significantly improved Zone Output with the new Zoneplay feature. This allows the DJ to send a playlist to a seperate zone or room with a smooth automated crossfade between tracks, and the crossfade time is adjustable.

Expanded Track List (PRIME 4)
In v1.4, PRIME 4 users have the ability to choose between normal or exapnded track list views, with the expanded list nearly doubling the amount of displayed tracks.

Loop In & Out Point Adjustment
DJs can now fine adjust the in and out points of both manual and autoloops using the platter.

In addition, the 1.4 update also brings the following enhancements:

Improved quantized cue and loop triggering
Improved search speed for high volume drives
Forward and backward platter nidge sensitivity is now matched
Quantize state is saved on shutdown and recalled on power-up
Rekordbox import on players now imports playlists in the correct order
