Doc Jnr and DJ iGnite Join Forces for ‘DJcity Podcast’ Mix

Doc Jnr and DJ iGnite have linked up on a high-energy club mix for the DJcity Podcast. Their half-hour set showcases the depth of global influences on modern hip-hop, from Da Baby and Drake to Koffee, Burna Boy, and more.

Doc Jnr is a UK ambassador for DJcity, Beatsource, and Genrebndr, and is represented in the UK by the No Cutz No Glory agency. Bahamas-based DJ iGnite is the resident DJ at the Albany and Baha Mar resorts. He uses his talents to give back to organizations such as Hands for Hunger, The Cancer Society of the Bahamas and the YESI Soccer foundation.

Red Bull Radio Announces ‘Hollerboard Redux 2.0’ Mix Series

Throughout December, Red Bull Radio will be hosting Hollerboard Redux 2.0, a series of performances featuring an impressive lineup of DJs. The Hollerboard was a late-2000s message board that united an underground collective of selectors, many of whom went on to become critically-acclaimed pros.

Tastemakers like A-Trak, Louisahhh, Jubilee, and YehMe2, plus current Twitch streaming favorite Four Color Zack, are on the lineup. Fool’s Gold Records co-founder Nick Catchdubs will be spinning, as will  OG indie DJ trendsetters Dances With White Girls and Cosmo Baker. Dirty South Joe and Lowbudget, two Philadelphia DJs who many cite as vital to the roots of the 2010s underground-to-mainstream evolution, are performing as well.

The schedule is as follows, and DJ sets will be posted on Red Bull Radio’s Mixcloud.

Nairobi, Kenya’s DJ LORDWIN has dropped a mix of Afrobeats and UK hip-hop favorites for the DJcity Podcast. His half-hour set features a number of top African hitmakers, with a few of them growing in international renown.

DJ LORDWIN is a member of the Dream Team And Dream Chaser Africa DJ crews. The 25-year old DJ was recently a finalist in 2020’s second season of Smirnoff’s 12-week Battle Of The Beats contest, and hopes to one day be a Red Bull 3Style World Champion. Earlier this year, he dropped a Bedroom Sessions mix for DJcity.

Freeza Chin Delivers DJcity Podcast’ Mix

Toronto’s Freeza Chin has dropped a heavy mix for the DJcity Podcast. His half-hour set includes hip-hop and grime, alongside his own remixes and a few unreleased tracks.

A veteran of the Toronto scene, Freeza Chin was the co-founder of  the BUMP party series, which, until it ended in 2019, was Canada’s longest running UK garage and house music event. He has performed on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Boiler Room, Outlook Festival, and more. He is also a co-owner and engineer at the Genesis Sound recording studio.
