Malindi, Kenya-based DJ MISS RAY has made her debut on the DJcity Podcast. Her half-hour set features the latest and greatest amapiano and Afro house tracks.

DJ MISS RAY has dazzled audiences the world over with her eclectic sets ranging from Afro house to dubstep to funk and beyond. She is a member of the house DJ duo Monateng Music alongside Avocado.theDJ. She is also the founder of Out of the Vacuum Media, a content creation collective devoted to feminist & LGBTQ+ causes.

GI Selects Drops ‘DJcity Podcast’ Mix


GI Selects.

Nairobi’s GI Selects represents for Kenya on his mix for the DJcity Podcast. His half-hour set showcases the best R&B, Afrobeats and genge music from his home country and Africa at large. It also features tracks from GI Selects’ upcoming EP Doba za Wagenge, a collaboration with emerging artist Lastii. The title of the EP translates as “music for the people/the gang.”

GI’s award-winning reputation has made him a go-to DJ for a number of artists including Barak Jacuzzi, and events like ShrapNite and Paddock Experience. He won Alternative DJ of the Year at the 2019 Café Ngoma Awards and was nominated for DJ of the Year at the 2020 Unkut HipHop Awards.

SantosSocialClub is a house DJ and concert photographer based in the Bay Area. For the past 3 years, he’s been the resident DJ at the Starline Social Club in Oakland, CA. where he hosts his monthly dance party Milk & Cookies.
