Common’s New Album Addresses Violence in Chicago

Common
Elliott Wilson recently caught up with Common to discuss his new album, Nobody’s Smiling, which addresses the on-going violence in his hometown.
 
The legendary Chicago MC also spoke on adapting to the changing times, his relationship with producer No I.D., and more.
 
Nobody’s Smiling is scheduled for July 22 and features guest appearances from Big Sean, Jhene Aiko, Lil Herb, Elijah Blake, among others.
 
The album is supported by three singles: “Kingdom” featuring Vince Staples, “Speak My Piece,” and “Diamonds” featuring Big Sean.
