Atlanta rapper Trinidad James took to Twitter on Saturday to reveal he’s been dropped by Def Jam (his tweet has since been removed):
“I should tell yall. I got dropped by the Label. My Album is now free. If u hear ur beat or verse on it. I hope u want dap cuz i got no money”
Famous for his hit “All Gold Everything,” James signed a joint deal between his label Gold Gang Records and Def Jam for reportedly $2 million in 2012.
Def Jam has yet to comment but Trinidad seems to be moving forward:
