Freestyle’s ‘Don’t Stop The Rock’ Remixed by Mark Cutz: DJcity Exclusive

21-year-old DJ/producer, Mark Cutz, has dropped a twerk rework of Freestyle‘s 1989 club staple “Don’t Stop The Rock” The remix is available exclusively on DJcity.

“I really wanted to bring this break-dance classic back to life by turning its super dope melody into a twerk drop,” the Dallas native says.

Cutz’s recent edit of Big Sean‘s “Bezerk” hit No. 41 on DJcity’s Top 50 chart for September.

Cutz is a mixer on Dallas’ 106.1 KISS FM, Austin’s 96.7 KISS FM, and the nationally syndicated Kidd Kraddick Morning Show. He’s also a member of the Radio DJs crew.

Legendary mixer DJ Rawn is best known for his Old Skool Show with Jeff Garcia and AquaNet Set on Los Angeles’ Power 106. Today, Rawn hosts a show on SiriusXM’s Globalization channel called The Old School Hour. His latest mix, which aired on Friday, featured an hour of freestyle, funk, dance-pop, and Miami bass tracks from the ’80s and ’90s.

Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole Freestyle Over Each Other’s Songs

As millions of Americans celebrated consumerism on Black Friday, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole gave back to fans by dropping freestyles over each other’s tracks. Cole went in over Kendrick’s anthem, “Alright,” while K. Dot took on Cole’s “A Tale of 2 Citiez.”
 
The tracks have reignited speculation that a joint album between the rappers is in the works.
