DJ Flip Drops DJcity Edition of ‘Flip Will Mix It’


 
If you’ve ever seen an episode of DJ Flip’s Flip Will Mix It series, you’d know that the Thre3style Vice World Champ has a knack for putting together unusual, yet creative sets. And it makes sense — the point of the series is to showcase Flip’s ability to create turntablist-friendly mixes based on fan requests.
 
After sharing many of Flip’s videos over the past year, we decided to ask the Irishman to make a special edition for DJcityTV. However, unlike the other episodes in his series, this one isn’t guided by requests. It contains the same level of uniqueness and craftsmanship, though.

DJ Flip Releases Final ‘Flip Will Mix It’ Episode


 
2014 is coming to a close and so is one of the dopest mix series of the year. Today, Ireland’s DJ Flip dropped the final episode of “Flip Will Mix It” — his innovative series based on fan requests. Watch as this year’s Red Bull Thre3style Vice World Champion works through a selection of hip-hop, rock and reggae. The Dublin native even throws in a little tone play, too.

Another month, another “Flip Will Mix It” episode. We don’t mean that in a bad way though.
 
Over the last year, Dublin’s DJ Flip has, ironically, helped make mixes more interesting by forgoing his own library and relying on requests from fans.
 
The experiment has proven fruitful — as the Irishman’s followers apparently have great taste in music and Flip’s ability to weave together vastly different styles has become more than evident. When’s the last time you heard someone blend Max Romeo’s reggae classic “One Step Forward” with T.I.’s “What You Know”?

Nearly three weeks after his runner-up finish at the Red Bull Thre3style World Finals, Ireland’s DJ Flip has returned with the ninth episode of his unique “Flip Will Mix It” series.
