Watch the Producer of D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty’s ‘Broccoli’ Explain How He Made the Track

Los Angeles-based hip-hop producer, J Gramm, has explained how he made D.R.A.M.’s “Broccoli” featuring Lil Yachty in a new episode of Genius’ Deconstructed. The track peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100, becoming D.R.A.M.’s highest-charting single to date.

Born in Montreal, J Gramm co-produced Kid Ink’s 2015 single “Be Real” featuring Dej Loaf. He has also worked with Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Wale, Kodak Black, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

“Broccoli,” which serves as the lead single from D.R.A.M.’s debut album Big Baby D.R.A.M., was certified quintuple platinum in April.

Watch D.R.A.M.’s ‘Gilligan’ Video Feat. A$AP Rocky and Juicy J

Gilligan

D.R.A.M. plays a wacky 1960s weatherman in the bizarre video for his A$AP Rocky and Juicy J-assisted single, “Gilligan.” The track, which was co-produced by Juicy J, was one of DJcity’s most downloaded tracks in May.

The visual fittingly parodies the Gilligan’s Island TV series and depicts several mannequin-like women in racy attire.

D.R.A.M. stopped by NPR’s Tiny Desk on Tuesday. The Virginia rapper performed the following four tracks from his debut album: “Cash Machine,” “Cute,” “Sweet VA Breeze,” and the hit single, “Broccoli.” He also performed “Special,” which appears on Chance the Rappers‘ Coloring Book mixtape.

Watch D.R.A.M.’s ‘Broccoli’ Video Featuring Lil Yachty

D.R.A.M. has dropped a new visual for his single “Broccoli” featuring Lil Yachty. The hilarious video features the two rappers playing a grand piano in the middle of a swamp alongside a couple of ladies and D.R.A.M.’s dog, Idnit.

The single is included in this month’s edition of DJcity Trends and is currently number 39 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The track marks D.R.A.M.’s highest-charting song to date, surpassing his 2015 breakout single “Cha Cha.”
