DJcity Premiere: DiscoTech Drops Two Remixes of 99 Souls’ ‘The Girl Is Mine’

With its samples of Destiny Childs’ “Girl” and Brandy’s “The Boy Is Mine,” 99 Souls’ funky house track “The Girl is Mine” is a favorite among DJs. The latest to remix the single is none other than DiscoTech, who just released 105 BPM “Midnight” and 125 BPM “2AM” versions.

Jump Smokers Remix 99 Souls’ ‘The Girl Is Mine’

Chicago’s Jump Smokers have started the year off on fire with three remixes under their belt. The latest is a rework of 99 Souls‘ “The Girl Is Mine,” a funky house track that samples Destiny Childs’ “Girl” and Brandy’s “The Boy Is Mine.”
 
99 Souls’ “The Girl Is Mine” was released commercially in November of 2015 after receiving nearly three million plays on SoundCloud. It peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart.
 
The Jump Smokers’ remix adds six BPM, additional synths, and more energy overall.
