Watch Alicia Keys’ ‘Blended Family’ Video Ft. A$AP Rocky

Just a week after releasing her album Here, Alicia Keys has returned with a video for her A$AP Rocky-assisted new single “Blended Love (What You Do for Love).” The visual features cameos from Keys’ husband Swizz Beatz, sons Egypt and Genesis, as well as stepsons Prince and Kasseem. A$AP Rocky also makes an appearance.

The track was one of DJcity’s most downloaded songs of October.

Keys said in a press release: “My new song ‘Blended Family (What You Do For Love)’ is inspired by my family’s personal journey to cultivate deeper understanding, compassion, support and love. Something to me that I hope we all together in this world remember right now . . . to me, the word ‘family’ has no singular definition and the modern family is made up of all kinds of beautiful people of different walks of life willing to put love first.”

Alicia Keys‘ afrobeats-influenced single “In Common” has received a house remix from Kaskade. The veteran DJ/producer’s version combines Alicia’s sultry vocals with a new bass-heavy instrumental.

“I listened to the song and loved it immediately,” Kaskade said in a statement. “Alicia Keys’ voice is huge in this vulnerable way. And deep house is just another spin on what she’s doing. I couldn’t help myself. I didn’t even ask for – or get – permission. I pulled the parts together myself, put them back together in my way, and sent it to her.”

Alicia Keys has delivered a black-and-white visual for her new single, “In Common.” The tropical-influenced track is set to appear on her forthcoming sixth album, which is due out later this year.

“This video is about celebrating our individuality, and how in the brilliance of our uniqueness, the magic of it all is at the core, we are all the same,” Keys told The FADER. “We want the same things. We all want to experience love, the freedom to be our truest selves, to love whomever we want and to be accepted and celebrated for all of our nuances and so called imperfections that make us, us.”
