DJ Chris Villa Performs on REVOLT Live’s ‘1s and Tuesday’


 
DJ Chris Villa’s routine for REVOLT’s “1s and Tuesday” is now available to stream for the first time. Originally aired on July 22, the Arizona native’s set featured three minutes of high-energy club tracks laced with impressive scratching and juggling. Villa also spoke with the show’s co-host DJ Damage about his background as a breakdancer, the challenges of DJing on the radio, his love for 90s music, DJing for the Phoenix Suns, and more.

Kid Cut Up Performs on REVOLT Live’s ‘1s and Tuesday’


 
Los Angeles-based DJ/producer Kid Cut Up dropped by REVOLT’s studio last week to deliver a three minute routine for the network’s “1s and Tuesday” segment. Cut Up, a Milwaukee native who has performed alongside the likes of N.E.R.D., Z-Trip, Ne-Yo, B.O.B., and Wiz Khalifa, showcased his scratching prowess while blending club favorites with classic acapellas.

Last week, the one and only DJ QBert stopped by REVOLT Live to put down a routine for the rising TV network. Over the last couple months, we’ve helped bring nearly a dozen heavy hitters to the show but having QBert was a special treat. In addition to doing what he does best, the legendary “Jedi Master” also spoke with the show’s co-host DJ Damage about how he got into DJing, his jazz-inspired approach to scratching, never-ending education, latest albums, and more. This week’s featured DJ on REVOLT Live’s “1s and Tuesday” was Chris Karns — a former DMC World Champion, Red Bull Thre3style Champion, and Master of the Mix finalist. Karns, who was featured on DJcity’s MikiDz Show last year, put down a razor sharp routine and also spoke with REVOLT Live’s co-host DJ Damage about how he got into turntablism, his preferred equipment, and his collaboration with Pretty Lights.
