Diplo – Rollerskating Thru The Universe (Hip Hop Mix)
Diplo’s mixes are usually amazing but his latest for BBC Radio 1Xtra is something special. The Mad Decent head honcho dropped an epic two hour hip-hop mix for his show “Diplo & Friends” on Saturday night. Here’s a description in his own words:
“I’m gonna call this my rollerskating rink mix, ’cause it goes through everything like funk, early hip-hop, golden era hip-hop, ’90s hip-hop, all the way to Southern hip-hop I’d hear in the clubs.”
While most hip-hop mixes focus on a specific era or style, Diplo’s “Rollerskating Thru The Universe” is eclectic and practically a master class on the genre.
