TRST Delivers Hard-Hitting ‘Friday Fix’ Mix

Some of our subscribers might recognize the name TRST, as over a dozen of his bootlegs and remixes have been featured on DJcity during the last year. The New York DJ/producer also dropped a “Friday Fix” set for us last summer, which broke the top 10 on three Mixcloud charts. Today, Mario Ontaneda aka TRST has returned for a second time to deliver a hard-hitting set of trap, electro house and Jersey club, including four of his own productions.

DJ Marquinhos Espinosa is one of the most talented open-format DJs from Brazil. In 2013, the Rio de Janeiro native won his country’s Red Bull Thre3style championship and will compete again next month at this year’s finals. Kid Cut Up Drops Mix for WiLD 94.9’s New Show

DJcity’s in-house producer Kid Cut Up recently dropped a set for “Rebel Pop Radio,” a new weekly mix show on Bay Area radio station WiLD 94.9. The show is hosted by TRUTHLiVE and Cutso and has already featured influential open-format DJs such as Chris Karns, DJ Scene, Four Color Zack, and J. Espinosa.
 
Kid Cut Up’s half-hour mix contained a variety of hip-hop and bass music, including many of his own blends and edits. The Red Bull Thre3style competitor also made sure to sprinkle some turntablism throughout his set.
 
Stream and download Cut Up’s mix below and tune in to “Rebel Pop Radio” every Saturday from midnight to 2 a.m PST. Listeners outside of the Bay Area can stream the show on WiLD 94.9’s website and the iHeartRadio app.

Listen to Hedspin’s Power 106 ‘Jump Off Mix’


 
In April, former Thre3style World Champion Hedspin dropped a “Jump Off Mix” for Los Angeles radio station Power 106. The Canadian’s set included some of the hottest hip-hop and bass originals and remixes of recent months, along with well-placed cuts and word play. It’s one of the most creative open-format mixes we’ve heard so far this year, and fans can now stream and download it on demand.

DJ Chizzle has dropped a massive open-format mix consisting of 45 tracks for this week’s “Friday Fix” podcast. The Orlando, Florida native is a mixer on Power 95.3 and resident at some of his city’s top clubs: Tier Nightclub, Ono Nightclub, and Vain Nightclub. When Chizzle isn’t rocking the airwaves and clubs, he also serves as the official DJ for the University of Central Florida’s basketball and football teams.
