‘R.O.A.D. Podcast’: DJ Icy Ice on the Struggles of Being an Asian DJ in the 90s
On last week’s episode of the R.O.A.D. Podcast, the crew sat down with DJ Icy Ice of the World Famous Beat Junkies. The legendary Los Angeles DJ explained the obstacles he experienced as an Asian DJ trying to enter the LA nightclub scene in the 90s.
DJ Ice Ice also spoke about starting the first Asian hip-hop party in Los Angeles called “The Source.”
