will.i.am Accused Of Stealing Arty & Mat Zo’s Track For ‘Let’s Go’
will.i.am is accused of unlawfully sampling Art & Mat Zo’s 2011 track “Rebound” for his new track “Let’s Go” featuring Chris Brown. The song is featured on will.i.am’s new album #willpower due April 23rd.
The controversy is unfolding on Twitter with comments coming from Art & Mat Zo, Chris Brown and Anjunabeats (the label that released “Rebound”). Ajunabeats claims they never gave permission to Interscope and Chris Brown has defended himself claiming he knew nothing of the apparent jack move.
So far a settlement hasn’t been reached but this could potentially become a nice revenue stream for Art & Mat Zo.
