Whiplash Parody Pokes Fun at ‘Button-Pushing’ DJs
Unless you live in cave, you probably heard that the Oscars went down last night. You might or might not be aware of Whiplash though — a 2014 film about a student jazz drummer who seeks the respect of an abusive teacher. The movie ended up winning a couple awards, but it wasn’t safe from satire.
Enter Nacho Punch: a YouTube channel that’s put together a hilarious parody, which also makes fun of “button-pushing” DJs and to some extent, EDM culture. It might just be the best DJ satire since Saturday Night Live’s “When Will The Bass Drop?”
