A new documentary about the evolution of electronic dance music and the rise of superstar DJs is coming soon.
Waiting For The Drop: Rise of The Superstar DJs traces the evolution of electronic dance music, from Ibiza in the late 1980s and the raves of the UK, to the modern-day “EDM” industry estimated to be $6.2 billion in size.
The documentary features DJs such as Avicii, Hardwell, Nervo, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, and industry heavyweights including Hakkasan’s CEO Neil Moffitt and Swedish House Mafia’s manager Amy Thomson.
