The New Traktor Kontrol S4 and S2 [Video]


Berlin-based producer Mad Zach (originally from San Francisco) performs a routine using Native Instruments’s upcoming all-in-one controllers S4 and S2 on laptop, iPad and iPhone.

“From cue point juggling to on-the-fly Remix Deck and Flux Mode improvisation, Mad Zach performs a controllerist routine on a variety of setups, combining the new Traktor Kontrol S4, the new S2, Traktor Pro 2 and Traktor DJ on iPad and iPhone.”

According to our in-house tech guru, DJ Fuse, the most notable update is the plug and play feature with Apple’s iOS. It solves the following headaches:

1. Eliminates the need of bringing a sound card when DJing with an iPad
2. Eliminates the need for a laptop
3. Enables the iPad to be more of a touch controller rather than full-fledged virtual decks
