Phase

The highly-anticipated release of the Phase wireless DJ system is just around the corner. But before it ships in September, Phase’s parent company Music World Media recently set off on a global tour to give DJs a chance to see the device in person. The tour features workshops, open sessions, and showcases, and will make stops throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

To highlight what’s happening on Phase’s Live Session – Launch Tour, DJcityTV has partnered with MWM on a new series called Journey to: Phase Live Session. The series is presented by Battle Avenue director and Fresh Press host, Antriks, who will take viewers behind-the-scenes on tour.

The first episode takes place at the 2018 DJ Expo in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Antriks introduces the series then shows a preview of DJ Precision testing out Phase.

DJcityTV’s Mojaxx recently traveled to Paris to get an exclusive first look at the highly-anticipated Phase wireless DJ system.

The device, which premiered in January to great acclaim, enables turntable DJs to control tracks from their DJ software without using a cartridge and control vinyl. It is now available for pre-order.

During his examination, Mo was joined by DJcity France director, DJ Stresh. The former Red Bull Music 3Style France champion put Phase to a scratch test.

Phase is set to ship in September. It costs $349 for the Essential Pack (one receiver and two remotes) and $549 for the Ultimate Pack (one receiver and four remotes).

While in Poland for the Red Bull 3Style VIII World Finals, DJcityTV recruited some of the country’s best turntablists to showcase the new Phase technology on its Cutting Room series.

Premiered at NAMM in January, Phase is a wireless device that bypasses a turntable’s internal audio and eliminates the need for a cartridge. It is considered by many industry experts and DJs to be a potential game-changer in the industry.

The scratch session featured DJs VaZee, Eprom, Krootki, Falcon1, and Keeper ET, and used Fracture’s jungle single, “Loving Touch.” It was the follow up to DJcityTV’s first Polish Cutting Room session, which went down in 2014.
