Watch Lil Jon Perform at the 2014 iHeartRadio Festival

Few artists are able to rock a crowd from both behind and in front of the decks and that’s exactly what Lil Jon did this weekend at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas.
 
The master of crunk began his set by warming up the audience with a string of trap and house bangers. At about nine minutes in, Jon emerged from behind the booth to perform some of his own tracks. Classics such as “Yeah,” “Get Low,” “Shots” and recent hits like “Turn Down For What” and “Bend Ova” were all performed with the energy that we’ve come to expect from Jon over the years.

Lil Jon Drops Video for Tyga-Assisted ‘Bend Ova’


 
Lil Jon has released visuals to his Tyga-assisted twerk banger, “Bend Ova.” The track originally dropped exclusively on DJcity back in June and is currently #11 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

Lil Jon Reveals He Produced a Song on Tyga’s New Album

Lil Jon recently stopped by Las Vegas radio station 98.5 KLUC to chop it up with DJ CO1 and Yung Jon Que.
 
During the interview, Jon revealed that he just finished a track with Kronic (the co-producer of “Bend Ova”) for Tyga’s upcoming album. He said the song features Chris Brown.
 
Jon also discussed how he was introduced to EDM, his preferred production gear, how he makes anthems year after year, what makes a good DJ set, his pre-gig routine, and more.
 

“I don’t just go in and half ass do anything. People think I just go in and say ‘blah blah blah’ and walk out the studio. No, I actually take time — I write — I’m strategic in what I put on every track.”

 

“You gotta play for your crowd and that’s what makes a good a set — to touch everybody in the place.”

The folks over at NOISEY recently caught up with Lil Jon for a great interview. The King of Crunk discussed his days as a dancehall DJ/producer in the 1990s, producing Ghost Town DJs’ 1996 classic, “My Boo.”, the difference between “turnt” and “crunk,” and more.
