Markus Schulz Wins America’s Best DJ 2014

Miami-based trance DJ/producer Markus Schulz has won DJ Times and Pioneer DJ’s 2014 America’s Best DJ award. This is the second time Schulz has taken home the title, as he also won in 2012.
 
The poll included a diverse list of acts — from turntablists to festival DJs — with Diplo and A-Trak taking 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
 
While most of the fan votes were cast online at the America’s Best DJ website, the America’s Best DJ Summer Tour supported the contest by allowing fans to vote in-person at over 20 club and festival events, which included Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival, Detroit’s Movement Festival and Chicago’s Spring Awakening Festival.
 
Schulz will be honored October 12 in Las Vegas at the America’s Best DJ award ceremony and closing party. He’ll be presented with a personalized, gold-plated Pioneer DJM-900nexus mixer at Marquee Nightclub.

Kaskade Wins America’s Best DJ 2013

Los Angeles-based DJ/producer Kaskade has been voted America’s Best DJ for 2013. This year marks the first time any DJ has won the eighth annual award twice (Kaskade also won in 2011).
 
Votes were cast online and in-person at various club and festival events including Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival, Detroit’s Movement festival and Denver’s Global Dance Festival. The awards are presented by DJ Times magazine and Pioneer DJ.
