Watch AraabMUZIK Perform With the New MPC Touch

Akai has enlisted the one and only araabMUZIK to perform a routine with their new MPC Touch sampler. The Rhode Island native is considered by many to be the best MPC finger drummer, so it only makes sense that Akai would recruit him showcase the product.

Akai Introduces the MPC Touch

MPC Touch

Japanese electronics company Akai has announced the newest member of its legendary MPC family, the MPC Touch.

Billed as “the most immersive music producing experience to date,” the MPC Touch combines physical pads with a colorful touchscreen and buttons for workflow access. And unlike previous MPC models, the MPC Touch will require a computer to operate it.

As part of the launch, Akai posted videos on its YouTube channel featuring influential hip-hop producers Metro Boomin and Needlz. The former is best known for his production work on ILoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday,” Travi$ Scott’s “3500,” and Future’s “Where Ya At.” You can watch both of the videos below along with Akai’s official introduction video.

The MPC Touch will hit stores in November with a suggested retail price of $764. Check out Akai’s website for more details.
