Ingenious ICE Headshell Lets DJs Bypass Broken Turntables

A common problem with Technics 1200 turntables is that one or both channels of their RCA cables can stop working. This means that the turntable can no longer control DVS systems like Serato DJ and Traktor. While replacing the RCA cables is possible, the process involves serious deck surgery and isn’t feasible if you’re at a gig.

Thankfully, DJ’s Dream Customs have invented the ICE headshell, an ingenious product that circumvents the turntable’s audio component and feeds the stereo signal directly to the DVS interface or mixer.

Watch the very first review of the ICE headshell in this week’s episode of Tips & Tricks.
