Upgrade Any DJ Setup! Menura Audio MDFX Isolator & FIlter Review

Menura Audio came out of the gate swinging with their first product, the fully modular MDMX mixer, a couple of years ago. Following the success of that, they’re now expanding their range with the new MDFX series, which will work with any DJ gear. There’s a desktop isolator, the ISO3, and the first separate filter aimed at DJs that we’ve seen for many years. Mojaxx gives them both a full review, on the new episode of Beatsource Tech.

R.O.A.D. Podcast – Rashad Smith : The Mystery Beatmaker for Rakim and Uptown Records

How to Enter:

  1. Create Your Routine: Make a DJ routine flipping ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ in your most creative way. Keep it to 1-minute or less! 
  2. Keep It Short: Your video should be no longer than 60 seconds.
  3. Record It: Perform your routine on camera and share it as an Instagram Reel and/or TikTok, using the hashtag #gangstasparadiseDJchallenge. Pro Tip: For the best sound quality, record the audio directly from your mixer or controller and sync it to your video to ensure a clean, pristine sound!
  4. Tag Us: Don’t forget to tag @beatsourceofficial and @DJcity in your post!

What Makes a Winning Routine?

You have until Midnight, Friday, August 8 to submit your routine. After that, our panel of expert DJs will evaluate the entries and the top four will be featured on Beatsource, DJcity and Tommy Boy’s Instagram with a public poll on August 13. The entry that gets the most votes will take home the prize!

RØDE Make DJ Gear Now? NTH-50 Headphones Review

A company from outside the DJ space releasing a product aimed directly at DJs is quite a rare occurrence, but thats what we have with the NTH-50s, the new headphones from RØDE. That’s a brand usually associated with content creation, live streaming, and pro audio.

The NTH-50s have impressive specs, especially considering their relatively affordable price. Mojaxx tested them in the booth, to find out if RØDE really understand what DJs are looking for.
