DJcityTV – WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIP CONTROLLER BATTLE
On June 25th an epic technological battle took place between 17 contestants at Public Works in San Francisco, CA. Sponsored by DJ Tech Tools, Novation, and LoveTech, the West Coast Championship Controller Battle featured controllerists from all different backgrounds exhibiting their ingenuity, musicality and showmanship to a crowd of 600 plus. Some entrants used popular commercial MIDI controllers while others performed with homemade contraptions that really highlighted how far controllers have come in today’s DJ scene. The battle was highlighted with showcases by DJTechTools.com founder Ean Golden, and the “Godfather of Controllerism”, Moldover.
In the end, controllerist Edison took the crown, followed by Rich DDT in second place and Artful Codger and Sabotage tying for third. Checkout our highlights of this amazing event and witness the truly inspiring technological innovations that are influencing this growing movement.
