DJcityTV: Kidd Spin Demonstrates Tone Play [Video]
Our second episode of “Tone Play” features Kidd Spin (Q104-7 FM, Live 105.5) demonstrating his unique routines with Novation’s Dicer.
Lit’s “My Own Worst Enemy” to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer”
T.I.’s “What You Know” to Lil Wayne’s “Love Me”
Fearless Four “Rockin’ It” to Kanye West’s “Mercy”
Nightcrawlers’s “Push The Feeling On” to Kidd Spin’s “Push The Cumbia On”
Enur’s “Calabria” to Dr. Dre’s “Next Episode” to Lil Wayne’s “No Worries”
The best DJs in the world are creative and differentiate themselves by thinking outside the box. DJcityTV’s new series “Tone Play” is intended to shed light on the technique of seamlessly mixing two tracks together by linking similar tones or melodies. The technique itself isn’t new but has evolved and become increasingly popular in recent years due to DJs such as the current Red Bull Thre3style champion, Four Color Zack.
In case you missed it, watch our debut episode of “Tone Play” featuring DJ Morse Code.
