Avicii Talks “Wake Me Up” & Debut Album [Video]

Avicii explains how he linked with singer/rapper Aloe Blacc for his new single “Wake Me Up” and how it was recorded. The Swedish DJ/producer reveals that the lyrics were written in a couple hours and describes the recording process as “very fluidly and organically.” Avicii also discusses his debut studio album TRUE which is slated for September 17.

For those who don’t know, Aloe Blacc started his career in 1995 with Emanon, an Orange county-based hip-hop group. Blacc reached prominence in 2010 when his song “I Need a Dollar” was selected as the intro track for HBO’s How to Make It in America.
