‘R.O.A.D. Podcast’: DJ Zo on the Challenge of DJing in Asia


Renowned Los Angeles party rocker DJ Zo, a.k.a. Zomanno, sat down with the R.O.A.D. Podcast this week. Zo discussed the challenge of DJing in Asia and how he approaches it.

Zo also reflected on his residencies at The LINE Hotel and Lock & Key, and how they helped transform Los Angeles’ Koreatown into a nightlife destination.

MistaJam Releases New Single ‘Trust You’ Ft. Scott Quinn

MistaJam is best known for his shows on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, but the legendary DJ also produces tracks.

Last October, Jam released his debut single “Rotate” on Cedric Gervais‘ Delecta Records. Today, Jam follows up with a soulful house groover titled “Trust You” featuring vocalist Scott Quinn. It is the debut release on Jam’s new Dance NRG label.

2019 Goldie Awards: Judges Announced

The Goldie Awards have announced the judges for the 2019 competition, which goes down in New York City on Oct. 17.

The awards, which feature separate DJ and beat battles, will be judged by an eclectic lineup. They include Armand Van Helden, Just Blaze, Busy P, Craze, Take A Daytrip, Alison Wonderland, UNIIQU3, and Kittens.

Hosting the competition will be Denzel Curry and YehMe2.

Entries for the DJ and beat battles are open until Sept. 1. Submission and ticket info can be found here.

Safety First! Drops New Single ‘Blue Monday’ Feat. G-Wizard on DJcity Records

UK DJ/producer Safety First! has dropped a synthpop-influenced house single titled “Blue Monday” featuring Australian DJ/producer G-Wizard. The track interpolates New Order’s 1982 synth-pop hit of the same name.

Safety First!’s “Blue Monday” is the third release on DJcity Records, which launched in March. It follows DJ Serg‘s “Samba” featuring Skales, and Andreas One‘s “Boy Bye” featuring B4NG B4NG.

Based in Manchester, Safety First! has performed at high profile venues and events across Europe. His tracks have received support on top UK radio stations such as KISS FM, Capital FM, and BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Hailing from Sydney, G-Wizard has performed across Australia and has produced official remixes for stars like Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Sean Paul, and Pitbull.
