Teenage Engineering are a company who very much do things their own way. Until now, their products have been largely focused on the music production space, but that’s now changed, with the new EP-136 K.O. Sidekick.

This diminutive 2 channel mixer might not have been specifically designed for DJ use, but it certainly promises to perform very well in that arena.

Laptop-Free DVS Is Here! NAP Works Devious Pocket Review

 

DVS, or digital vinyl systems, have been a fixture in the DJ world for almost a quarter of a century at this point. But truly replicating the vinyl experience with digital music files has always required the use of an existing laptop, desktop or mobile device – until now.

The Devious Pocket, from NAP Works, is a tiny device which handles all the DVS trickery internally, which means all you need to use it is a turntable, a mixer, and any USB drive – no laptop needed. On the new episode of Beatport Tech, Mojaxx gives it a full, in-depth review.
