Daft Punk – The Collaborators: Chilly Gonzales [Video]


Here’s Daft Punk’s 6th episode of “The Collaborators” series which showcases artists featured on their new album, Random Access Memories. We admire the time and effort they put into these videos and feel like each one offers a wealth of insight into the creative process and what Daft Punk represents in a larger sense. Anyone serious about the creative process and music production should check them out.

In this episode, Grammy-nominated Canadian musician Chilly Gonzales (who’s collaborated with Drake, Jamie Lidell, Peaches etc) breaks down his contribution to Daft Punk’s new album, his love of harmonies, the genius of Daft Punk and more.

“They don’t really need any help and so when they ask for help it’s because they’re at such a high level and so advanced and have such a good self awareness, which you have to have to operate on that level, that you can ask for help for certain details that are gonna make the work be transcendent.”
