Half the size, half the fun? AlphaTheta DJM-V5 Review

The DJM-V10 from Pioneer DJ took their club mixers in a new direction, but garnered some real fans – including Mojaxx. Now, AlphaTheta have release the DJM-V5, which is effectively a smaller, more affordable version of the V10, with three channels. It includes lots of the features found on the original, as well as some new ones, but there’s one big omission which could potentially limit it’s appeal to different types of DJs. Rane SYSTEM ONE: The WORLD EXCLUSIVE FIRST REVIEW

Rane have seen huge success with their recent controller releases – the FOUR, the PERFOMER, and the ONE MKII. But they all have one thing in common – they are just controllers. With the new SYSTEM ONE, the company have leveraged tech used by their other inMusic brands, and added in Engine DJ support, making this the first all-in-one spinning platter device to hit the market.

Thanks to more powerful processing, and a new Omnisource architecture, the SYSTEM ONE also provides an upgraded experience with Engine OS, too, so it’s sure to make a big impact.

Mojaxx has been testing the SYSTEM ONE for months already, so Rane have agreed to let us release his review a day before anyone else’s, meaning that the new episode of Beatsource Tech is a true world exclusive.
