DJs who plan on returning to the US and UK from some Middle Eastern and North African countries might have to change their travel plans.<\/p>\n

Effective Tuesday, US and UK-bound airline passengers are prohibited from carrying personal electronic devices larger than a smartphone in the cabin. The order doesn’t have an end date.<\/p>\n

The ban comes after intelligence showed that the Islamic State is developing a bomb that can be hidden in portable electronics.<\/p>\n

Passengers will have to put their laptops, tablets, portable DVD players, cameras, and other large devices into their checked baggage. It’s a major inconvenience, especially for DJs, who prefer to work on mixes, tracks, and other projects during flights.<\/p>\n

For US passengers, the impacted airports are:<\/p>\n

– Abu Dabi International, United Arab Emirates
\n– Dubai International, United Arab Emirates
\n– Cairo International, Egypt
\n– Queen Alia International, Amman, Jordan
\n– Kuwait International
\n– Mohammed V International, Casablanca, Morocco
\n– Hamad International, Doha, Qatar
\n– King Abdulaziz International, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
\n– King Khalid International, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
\n– Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey<\/p>\n

For US passengers, the impacted airlines are:<\/p>\n

– EgyptAir
\n– Emirates
\n– Ethiad Airways
\n– Kuwait Airways
\n– Qatar Airways
\n– Royal Air Maroc
\n– Royal Jordanian
\n– Saudia
\n– Turkish Airlines<\/p>\n

For UK passengers, all flights from the following countries are affected:<\/p>\n

– Egypt
\n– Jordan
\n– Lebanon
\n– Saudi Arabia
\n– Tunisia
\n– Turkey<\/p>\n
