It requires DVS software such as Serato and Traktor.<\/p>\n<p>The device isn&#8217;t intended to replace turntables all together, though. Instead, the SliderKut is designed for DJs who want a light and compact alternative.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Kickstarter page, it was inspired by a dream that Fong Fong had back in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I woke up and directly wanted to created [sic] this crazy project, first as a guitar scratch and secondly as a real scratch portable player with the same feeling as a real turntable,&#8221; Fong Fong says. &#8220;[There would be] no need to practice on it!
