Obwohl dies zu vergleichsweise niedrigen Betr\u00e4gen pro Wiedergabe f\u00fchrt (in der Regel ein Cent oder weniger), stieg der Umsatz der Musikbranche erheblich, da Nutzer mehr f\u00fcr Abonnements ausgeben als f\u00fcr den Kauf von Musik.<\/p>\n

Spotify k\u00fcndigte nun an, eine bedeutende \u00c4nderung vorzunehmen. K\u00fcnftig erhalten K\u00fcnstler nur dann eine Verg\u00fctung, wenn ihre Songs mehr als 1000 Wiedergaben pro Jahr erreichen. Laut Spotify betrifft dies 99,5 Prozent des Katalogs, jedoch entfallen rund 40 Millionen Dollar pro Jahr auf Songs, die diese Schwelle nicht erreichen.
